    PPC is just what it says, you get paid for each qualified click of a banner or ad you place on your website, whereas Affiliate marketing generally pays you a commision based on sales resulting from a click from your website.

    PPC is pretty much gone now, though Google is the main one left. You may also try http://www.clickbooth.com and http://www.adbrite.com for more affiliate/commision programs.
