Kel Tec PLR 22 – Presentation, Review, Thoughts
I’m just switching things off the top of my head for my new gun, Kel Tec PLR-22 pistol, I put on layaway in mid-December in a gun shop here in town and pay him on Friday Janurary second I pulled it and shot a goal iron, then go and buy a red dot box, I am very pleased with the gun and bullets, as it is so cheap is posted several videos of me to shoot. If anyone is interested in buying one and would like more information or want to shoot ok then let me know and I will be happy to make videos.

Im thinking of getting one now, I have always loved my SU-16, It runs clean with no malfunctions in 5-6 years but a little rust on the bolt. GSG-5p is cool but starting to seem less practical to me. Thanks again for the video.

Guess he didn’t read the manual! They do have a bolt hold open!

Right behind the mag there’s a metal tab you push up and it alows you to keep the bolt open without the mag in place. At least there’s one on my SU 16-C.

hi cap mags are illegal in ca, so they probably make a 10 round mag for it

I’ll bet your neighbor loves it when you scope out the window like that. Hopefully they’re not liberals.
FYI: I’ve seen people shoot these (and the PLR-16) one hand off of a single point sling. Basically push off of the sling to stabilize your weapon.

Cool video, very informative. It seems like it’ll be really fun to shoot, moreso than it would in .223, so I’m glad I got the .22-LR. And I’m glad the front handgaurds from the SU are compatible…. have you tried the screw on muzzle break?

That is one weird looking pistol. I like it though. Looks almost like a SMG.

plus the magazines are hard to find anywhere but online and they run $30 a piece before shipping, it’s more of a novelty gun then anything serious, it would make a great gun to sling over your side while riding a dirt bike, other than that I cant think of a better use for it

it is very reliable however it will most likely have either one of two problems, first problem may be the ejection port has not been milled down so it will jam a lot, you can fix that with a dremel tool,. OR the whole front site base will be crooked and the gun will have to be shipped back to kel tec, that is what was wrong with minej I cant hit anything with the iron sites further then 20 feet without over compensation for the crooked sites, just get a ruger with a folding stock

I prefer the same pistol in .223. Read the manual for cleaning. Very easy
