In this article I will give you a four step plan for starting your business and getting it profitable. This plan includes finding your niche, creating a product, building your web site and sending traffic to your site. It’s easy to get side tracked and off focus in the Internet business world because there are so many new shiny things waiting to grab your attention and steal your focus if you don’t have an outline for your business..
Select your niche market:
A niche is a market or sub market that is defined and can be targeted. You must select a niche in the very beginning and it would be even better if you have knowledge about that niche and a passion for the topic. This will make working on your business interesting and fun for you even when everything is not going just right. Having knowledge of your niche will also make it easier to determine what needs there are in your market.
Create an Information product:
Now that you have your niche and understand the problems people in that market deal with, you will need to create a product that answers those needs. This is very important because you need something to sell as soon as possible in order to generate an income from your Internet home based business. Many new entrepreneurs miss this step all together and then wonder why they don’t make any money. Write an e-book or create a video or a cd home study course, just create a product of your own.
Build your web site:
Now that you have you niche and a product you will need a web site with a sales letter to market your product. Contrary to popular belief, your site does not have to be fancy and have a lot of flash and things going on. In fact, a simple clean sales letter for your product may be all you need. If you don’t know how to create a site you can use a site building software like comes with most hosting packages or you can hire it done.
Send traffic to your site:
The final and on going piece of the Internet home based business puzzle is getting traffic to your site. Let’s face it, no matter how good your product or web site or sales letter is, you don’t have a business till you have people seeing your offer. There are many formulas for driving traffic and you should select one and stay with it till you master that method.
