Do You Need a Website To make money Online?
Online Business Can Make You Money
By Luigi Fedel
Let’s face it; everyone is beginning to turn to the internet as a source of income. Some people have grown weary of their regular day jobs; or worse, have recently been laid off due to economic circumstances. The point though, is that those who truly wish to make an online income and are willing to put forth the necessary effort can do so and be successful at it in the process.
The biggest question for many people though, revolves around how they can actually make money online and whether or not they actually need a website to do so.
While it is completely possible to make a fairly decent online income without owning a website, having one increases your income potential. Without a website, you are very limited in what you can do and how much you can make. You can get an online job tutoring others, writing content for websites and the like.
However, you will quickly find that these types of jobs are dead-end positions with no real room for improving one’s income. In the end, everyone has to get their own website to make a good income through the internet. It is better to do so now rather then wait for the last minute.
There are some rules when it comes to building a profitable website so that you can make money online. For starters, every website needs content. The more often that content is updated, the better. The more relevant content you have, the better. You will also need traffic because the number of unique visitors to your website is directly proportional to your income potential. However, it needs to be pointed out that there is a big difference between targeted traffic and all other forms of traffic.
You do not want to sign up for one of those clubs or programs where you surf to other’s website so that they can surf yours. This is not relevant traffic and all it does is wastes bandwidth. None of these people are going to stay and check out the website even if it interests them. They are only thinking about their own site’s traffic. You can actually have your contextual ad accounts canceled for doing this.
You want relevant traffic that will convert. What this means is that if you are promoting a product, you only want people visiting your site to actually purchase the product. However there will always be window shoppers even if it is relevant traffic.
For this reason, most people base their website’s potential on a 10 out of 100 scale. This should not be confuse with 10% which would mean that 1 out of every 10 visitors would convert. The goal for any site should be at least 10 out of every 100 visitors. Whether buying a product that you are promoting or clicking an advertisement, you want 10 out of every 100 unique visitors to make you money and this can only be done through highly-targeted traffic.
