What Exactly is Freelance Work
By Jennifer Shircel

Freelance Magic

You’ve heard of freelance before and kind of know what it pertains to, but why should you learn more about it?

Freelance work, or freelancing basically means that you are hired for one specific job. You are not hired full-time or part-time, you are just hired until the work or the project is finished.

What most people don’t realize is that this could be the prefect type of job for them. So many people are looking for work at home, but aren’t sure what they want to do. (more…)

You Have the Right to Remain Affiliate Marketing

My Affiliate Empire

Upon hearing about people supposedly making a lot of money from affiliate marketing, you might have thought “that is impossible” or “only a few really make money with it”.

However, nothing can be farther from reality, because the fact is that affiliate marketing is a realistic way to make money, not only that, it is an actual and consolidated business model that integrates as a very important part of the whole world economy.

So when you think about this business, get out of your head the idea of this being some “hocus pocus” trick or some “internet shortcut to millions”. (more…)

Have You Decided to Become a Freelance Writer? Avoid These 7 Mistakes!
By Eric Mead

Freelance Magic

Beginning freelance writers often get their businesses started on the wrong foot, and things can quickly go downhill from there. What follows are some things to watch out for before you launch your writing business.

1. Not Knowing How to Market Services: The #1 duty when you become a freelance writer is to get and keep clients. Surprised I didn’t say “writing?” You shouldn’t be. Freelancers who successfully market their services can pay the bills and put food on the table. Freelancers who don’t often throw in the towel and find a job. Just don’t get too crazy and start… (more…)

Some Reasons Why Affiliate Marketing Is a Good Idea

Some Advantages of Affiliate Marketing
By Renwick M Johnson

My Affiliate Empire

This concept of sharing revenue has been around for a long time. Even before the internet. But affiliate marketing has taken revenue sharing to a whole new level and has become probably the best form of free advertising for all types of businesses.

Merchants that are on line are finding this form of marketing highly advantageous because it presents absolutely no risk at all to them and very little risk to the affiliate if the marketing is done properly. And Merchants can gain a larger market to sell their products and or services, resulting in more customers and sales without having to search for them. (more…)

What is the Definition of Freelance Work?
By Andy B Smith

Freelance Magic

A common question, “What is the definition of freelance work” can be answered very simply – it is work offered on a part time basis to more than one company or individual.

When times are hard, whether because of the general economic climate or because of a particular need (a holiday, for example) most people have a skill or ability that they can offer. Something as simple as dog walking can often produce good financial rewards. Naturally, most people can walk a dog but how many would think of offering that service on a freelance, paid-for basis? If you have ever tried to make money online you are probably aware that it is not as easy as you may think. There are a lot of factors that come into play when it comes to making money online. Getting Your Feet Wet – Entrepreneurship on a Part Time Basis
By Chris Simpson

One of the great hazards of running a home based small business are the benefits you get from full time work for a conventional employer. Why are they a hazard? Because they’ll convince you that your business needs to replace the money and benefits you’d make now with what it can pull in. This is a hazard, because it keeps more potential small business owners from starting their business at all.

The key is to balance the two and make a staged transition. You can work full time at your existing job, and take on some part time work for a home based small business of your own as well. This has several advantages. (more…)

How to Start a Cell Phone Recycling Business
By Robert Potter

While transporter rooms have yet to become a part of our daily mode of transportation, there is one item from “Star Trek” tech that has become a popular consumer electronics staple. The portable “hand held communicator” that was used by the crew of the Starship Enterprise, has made its way to our planet in the form of a cell phone. Weaving the technology into the fabric of our society took some time. The first hand held cell phone commercially available to the US market was the Motorola DynaTAC, way back in 1983.
